RIP Bolt

Dear Cadence,

I'm very sorry to say it, but last week your beloved cat Bolt was hit by a car and killed. It's been a very sad week and we all miss him like crazy! He really was a great cat.

Since Bolt is now gone, we went out and got you 2 new kittens. They are little brothers and we named them Max (after Max & Ruby) and Walter (you wanted to name him Water, so I thought we would change it to Walter). They are very sweet little guys, but they just aren't Bolt.

Yesterday you said to me, "Mom i like these cats, but I want my Bolt back!" It broke my heart! Bolt will always be a huge part of your life and I'm sure you'll remember him forever. I know Max and Walter will never replace him, but they will be a good distraction.

RIP Bolt! We will forever miss and love you! I love you Cadence.

Christmas & New Years

Dear Cadence,

I know this is a little late, but Merry Christmas. Of course you got totally spoiled! People sent you gifts in the mail from BC, which you loved getting! Mom and Dad spoiled you, as did Santa.

This year you were terrified of Santa again. We went to the mall to get a picture with him and you didn't want to go near the poor guy. So like last year, Mom and Dad came in the picture with you. We also saw Santa again at the Finning Christmas party, you cried when I put you on his lap. Good times.

On Christmas Eve we had Papa, Omie, Daryl, Candice and Nic over for dinner. Mommy mad her first turkey and it turned out pretty yummy. And of course you got to open one present Xmas Eve, nice new pj's.

Christmas morning you woke up so excited to see all the gifts under the tree! Papa and Omie had stayed the night and we all watched while you opened your presents. You got soooooo much stuff! Clothes, toys, babies, doll house, Zhu Zhu puppies, money, laptop, and lots more stuff. I'd say you did very good! Such a lucky and very loved little monkey.

New Years Eve we went to Daryl and Candice's house. You had a great time playing with Leah and both of you stayed up until midnight. However within half an hour of ringing in the New Year, you and Daddy were both asleep on the couch.

I hope you enjoyed the holiday's as much as we enjoyed spending them with you! I love you so much.

Mommy's been slacking!

Well it's been way way way too long since Mommy last wrote to you, I have no excuse... I just forgot! Life isn't too crazy, but I think about writing and then when I sit down to actually do it, I get side tracked!

Well your a crazy little 2.5 year old! Dancing, singing, talking, running, laughing, cuddling, playing with your dogs, enjoying going to play group, meeting new friends and learning new things. You LOVE to change your clothes 10 times a day, watch Max & Ruby at least 100 times a day... at least that's how it feels to me.

We went to see Santa this month, but you were not very fond of him and didn not want to sit on his lap. So of course, Mommy and Daddy had to be in the picture again this year. You are also very afraid of him coming to the house to bring you gifts, the other day you told me, "Mommy, Santa not come to my house! I don't want him to!" I'm sure you'll change your mind when you see what he brings.

You have been in swimming lessons for a couple weeks. For some reason you don't like the teacher, she's very nice but you want nothing to do with her. However you do love being in the pool and especially love to jump in off the side.

We had a gift exchange with Katia a couple weeks ago, it was very cute! Katia got you a little doctors set, which you love. And you got her a little laptop.

On Dec 10, 2011 you had your first ever sleep over! You stayed the night at Omie's all by yourself and had so much fun! When Mommy and Daddy left, you kissed us goodbye, said I love you and waved out the window... not one single tear. My girl is getting so big! Omie said you ate LOTS, watchhed Rodoulph the Red Nosed Reindeer and treehouse, played with Sierra, talked to Papa on the phone and had a great time. You slept in Omie's bed with her and only woke up once in the night for a quick second and then went back to sleep. You were very happy to see us in the morning when we came to pick you up and we couldn't wait to give you a big hug.

I'm sure there have been tons and tons of other exciting things that have happened over the last couple months... your growing way too fast, your very very smart, love to have fun and are forever changing. I love you so much!

It's again, been way too long since I last wrote to you. Sorry baby! :)

Well life is great! Your the perfect little girl. So cute, yet so sassy, you talk like CRAZY, dance like a dancing queen, sing like a superstar. Your just a ball of love and smiles.

Every night I go to bed to you holding hands with me and telling me you love me. And I wake up to just the same! I couldn't ask for anything more! Your just so amazing and make my life perfect and Daddy's life too of course.

These days you seem to be crazy about dolls and purses. You always have a purse over your shoulder and your baby in your arms. Telling her you love her, feeding her and playing.

I could go on with all the amazing things you do these days... put I'll leave that for another day :) You are waiting for me to watch Max and Ruby, which by the way... we watch all day long!

Your growing way too fast!

Dear Cadence,
It's been far too long since Mommy last wrote to you and truly I have no excuse! I guess time just flies when your having fun!

I will start with some sad news... On June 25 2011 your Great Great Grampa passed away. He was an amazing man and I wish you had the chance to meet him. We went to Prince George for his funeral and although it was a sad occasion, it was still great to see everyone.
Now onto some updates... Well to start you talk like crazy! You have learned to talk in sentences now and it seems as though you learn a new word everyday! You are such a little character. You love to watch Max & Ruby, play with the animals, hang out with Daddy in the garage, help Mommy cook and like a typical girl you love to talk on the phone.

You still sleep in Mom and Dads bed most nights and your carseat is still your favorite place to nap. You love listening to loud music with Daddy in the truck, it usually puts you to sleep. You can count to 3 and say your ABC's, with some help. Your crazy about animals and love to play outside. The lake seems to be a fantastic hang out on a sunny day and you always have a smile on your face. Of course you do take after Mommy and Daddy in the attitude department, but I guess that's what we get.

Life is great and we love you so very much!

Long Overdue!

Dear Cadence,

It has been WAY too long since Mommy last wrote to you... sorry, I guess time got away from me! Well so much has happened... so so so much!

First there was Easter and you got TONS of candy! Uncle Croix, Karina, Catia, Papa and Omie came over for dinner. We had a red neck Easter dinner, smokies over the fire, BBQ ribs, potato salad and smore's. It was sooo yummy! We also went over to Holy's house to get some pictures of you girls with Mr. Dot.

Not only did you get TONS of candy and toys fro Easter, but we also got you a kitten. His name is Bolt...

Afew days after Easter, Holy asked us if we would like to have Candy a 12 year old QH. Of course we said yes... so not only did you get a cat, but we also got a horse! She is the sweetest horse ever and we all love her very much.

Other then all the animals we have collected over the last couple months... you have been learning to count and say your ABC's. You talk non stop and are always getting into something. You've turned into an extreme daddy's girl, no matter where Daddy is, you love to be with him. All in all, you've grown so much over the past couple months and become such a little girl.

There is so much more that I can talk about, but I will leave it at that for now! I love you so much Miss Monkey!

Happy 2nd Birthday

Dear Cadence,

Yesterday was your 2nd Birthday! It's so crazy to think that your already 2 years old and no longer a baby, but you will always be my baby! So much has happened in the last 2 years and you've changed so so so very much!

You talk, walk & run, dance, eat anything we put in front of you, you can be bossy & so sweet, you have such personality and make the best faces. Your a little girl now and like to play with dolls & barbies, read books, watch tv & movies, swim, play in the snow, play with your big brother bears, and hang out with Mom & Dad. Your always ready to color a picture or paint a picture, help Mommy clean the house or make a mess after Mommy cleans. Tubby time is one of your fav things to do at the end of a long day, you brush your teeth, but don't really like getting your hair done.

Of course your the typical girlie girl and love clothes & shoes. Max & Ruby are your favorite cartoon characters at the moment, but you also love Disney movies and any show with puppies. You love apples, olives, oranges, bananas (pretty much any fruits) and like a nice bowl of cheezies. Cheese is always at the top of your snack list, right under yogart. I could go on forever with list upon list of the things you like... your not a very picky little girl!

For breakfast on your special day, Mommy made you some heart shaped waffels, but you were more interested in eating a hotdog and ended up feeding the hearts to Cuda.

Then we took you out shopping for your Birthday and let you pick out whatever you wanted. You picked a nice princess suitcase, 5 books, a truck and your very first barbie.

Here you are playing with your new truck... Daddy was so proud when you decided to get a Cat truck.

After we went shopping, then we took you out for lunch to McDonalds. You had chicken nuggets and fries. And ate the ketchup with a straw, silly girl!

After McDonalds we went home to play for a little while before dinner. We took you to a Chinese restaurant in Lacombe, they had the biggest fish there...

I hope you had a great Birthday Baby! Mommy loves you so very much and I look forward to the next birthday and many more to come. Happy Birthday again to my sweet baby girl! No matter how old you are, you will always be my baby
