Dance Party

Dear Cadence,

Like most nights, there was a dance party in our house tonight. You danced around the living room like a little maniac and had a great time.

Then you asked Daddy to dance with you... And the two of you slow danced around the living room. It was so cute. You sure are a Daddy's girl.

Dreams

Dear Cadence,

Well CMV, last night you had some pretty strange dreams... at least that's what I gather! At one point you woke up screaming, when I went into your room you were holding your tummy and talking to yourself. I asked what was wrong, you said you hurt your tummy. I put you into your bed and you were out. I'm sure you were sleep walking around your room.

Next time you woke up crying, I went into your room to find you folding laundry. Seriously the funniest thing ever! Again you were talking to yourself while doing it. I told you that you did a great job, you said thanks and went back to sleep in minutes. When you came into our bed later on I asked why you had been folding laundry, you looked at me like I was an idiot and said you didn't do that! Oh kid you crack me up!

I'm certain that you sleep walk and have the weirdest dreams! I love you Monkey!

Life has changed...

Dear Cadence,

As I sit here and think of how proud I am of you, I can't help but cry. You truly are wise beyond your years! And Daxton is so lucky to have such an amazing big sister.

Well it's been snowing here now for a couple days and it sure is cold outside. It most certainly is winter in Alberta!

We have been trying very hard over the past couple weeks to get you to sleep in your own bed, it's working for about 4-6 hours a night. We usually bath both you and Dax and have you both in bed by 7:30pm. Dax goes right to sleep, but you generally get up about 10-20 times before you fall asleep. Sometimes you get up for food or kisses & hugs or to go to the bathroom or just to say hi. You can be a stubborn little critter... I don't know where you got that from! :) Anyways, after a few hours in your own bed you always come down the hall to our bed, where you sleep for the rest of the night. I don't know if we will ever get out completely into your own bed....

Recently you showed Daddy and I how great you are at coloring in the lines... you were very proud of yourself, as were we.

Your getting to be such a big girl! And the best big sister around. Mommy is so proud of you and I love you very much.

Baby Brother

Dear Cadence,

The last few weeks have been crazy! But out of all the craziness you now have a sweet little brother.

Daxton James Vigh was born on September 2 2012 at 743 am, weighing 5 lbs 15 oz. He spent the first 8 days of life in the NICU at Red Deer Hospital.

During his time at the hospital, the three of us stayed at the Ronald McDonald house so that we could be close to Dax. You love RMH and had a great time there and always ask to go back and play.

Cadence Mae you are the best big sister that Dax could ever ask for. You love to cuddle with him and give him more kisses then any little boy could ask for. You have been a great help with Dax and we are so proud of you. Mommy love you so much!

Life on the Farm

Dear Cadence,

A few days ago we got some chickens. 3 hens, 3 chicks and 1 very huge rooster. Your not the least bit afraid of them and go right into the pen and pick them up.

Updates...

Dear Cadence,

You sure keep Mommy busy these days! Whether your changing your clothes a thousand times a day or pulling every toy out of your room or dressing up your big dog or running around the yard or telling on of your amazing stories.... your always on the go.

You have so much personality and your so incredibly smart! You can almost give us directions to Papa's house, you can pick out make and models of vehicles while driving down the road, you can count almost to 20, your learning your colors, you never ever stop talking and can create the most amazing story out of nothing. This list goes on and on!

In the last few weeks you have started to play a little bit of soccer and seem to be interested in going into a dance class.

Life is forever changing and you are forever growing... there is never a dull moment in this house! I love you so much my sweet girl!

Baby Brother

Dear Cadence,

Well it's official, you will soon have a baby brother. For months you have been saying you don't want a brother and you only want a sister, but I think your just as excited as we are about having a brother.

We went out to look at baby clothes yesterday and you wanted to buy Baby Vigh everything you layed your eyes on... your so funny. Had we bought all you wanted, we would've left with a $200 bill.

When we went for the ultrasound on Monday, you were so happy to actually be able to see him and he already looks like his big sister. I think the two of you will be quite the pair and I'm sure get into your far share of trouble. And you've already asked if you can dress him up, hopefully it will be in his own cute clothes and not yours.

Mommy and Daddy know you will be the best big sister and can't wait to see you two together for the first time. I love you.

Dear Cadence, Well life has been crazy and fun! We moved into a new house on a farm and it is amazing! We have cows next-door and deer all around the property. You have a trampoline and a nice big park too! You sure do love it here. And as you know, mommy is pregnant. We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but you seem to think it's a girl. You say, "If it was a brother, then it would be in Daddy's tummy!" You smarty pants.  Since living in our new house we have been trying to get you to sleep in your own room. The first night we put you in your bed, you screamed and cried; it was horrible. After about 30 minutes you were silent, so we went to check on you. You weren't in your bed or on the floor, you have taken all of your stuffed animals and gone to sleep in your tent. And from that night on, you have slept in your tent. However you have since requested that Diesel sleep on the floor outside the tent to protect you, so he does. Mommy moves his bed into your room and he curls up beside your tent and goes to sleep. Lucky girl you are to have a big dog like him. You have also started attempting to ride Diesel. You say that your a horse racer and he's your horse. Then you climb onto him and tell him to run, it's pretty funny.  Your such a big girl baby and mommy is so proud of you! I love you! Love Mommy

Dear Cadence,

As you already know, your going to have a little brother or sister. The baby is due October 7 2012 and you couldn't be more excited. You love to talk about the baby, which you often say will be a sister. In your words "Theres a sister in Mom's belly, because if it was a boy it would be in Daddy's belly" so cute!

I think you will be the best big sister and probably act like a little Mom. Helping with all the baby stuff and watching over the baby all the time.

I love you Cadence and I'm so excited for you to meet your new baby brother or sister.

Dear Cadence,

Hello my sweet girl! I can't believe that you will be 3 years old next month, I feel like it was just last week that I was in labor. Your such a big girl now and so independent, but still very very cuddly! You talk up a storm, run non stop, count, do your abc's, and so much more. Life is changing quickly and I think we are all excited for the next chapter in our lives. I love you so much!

RIP Bolt

Dear Cadence,

I'm very sorry to say it, but last week your beloved cat Bolt was hit by a car and killed. It's been a very sad week and we all miss him like crazy! He really was a great cat.

Since Bolt is now gone, we went out and got you 2 new kittens. They are little brothers and we named them Max (after Max & Ruby) and Walter (you wanted to name him Water, so I thought we would change it to Walter). They are very sweet little guys, but they just aren't Bolt.

Yesterday you said to me, "Mom i like these cats, but I want my Bolt back!" It broke my heart! Bolt will always be a huge part of your life and I'm sure you'll remember him forever. I know Max and Walter will never replace him, but they will be a good distraction.

RIP Bolt! We will forever miss and love you! I love you Cadence.

Christmas & New Years

Dear Cadence,

I know this is a little late, but Merry Christmas. Of course you got totally spoiled! People sent you gifts in the mail from BC, which you loved getting! Mom and Dad spoiled you, as did Santa.

This year you were terrified of Santa again. We went to the mall to get a picture with him and you didn't want to go near the poor guy. So like last year, Mom and Dad came in the picture with you. We also saw Santa again at the Finning Christmas party, you cried when I put you on his lap. Good times.

On Christmas Eve we had Papa, Omie, Daryl, Candice and Nic over for dinner. Mommy mad her first turkey and it turned out pretty yummy. And of course you got to open one present Xmas Eve, nice new pj's.

Christmas morning you woke up so excited to see all the gifts under the tree! Papa and Omie had stayed the night and we all watched while you opened your presents. You got soooooo much stuff! Clothes, toys, babies, doll house, Zhu Zhu puppies, money, laptop, and lots more stuff. I'd say you did very good! Such a lucky and very loved little monkey.

New Years Eve we went to Daryl and Candice's house. You had a great time playing with Leah and both of you stayed up until midnight. However within half an hour of ringing in the New Year, you and Daddy were both asleep on the couch.

I hope you enjoyed the holiday's as much as we enjoyed spending them with you! I love you so much.
